Random (and repeating) thoughts I've had the last years:

• Wouldn't it be cool to walk across Europe.
• How far can I cycle from Vienna until I give up?
• That Dublin to UK Ferry I took ten years ago was awesome.
• Interrail could be fun. But isn't that for the young ones?
• I never actually completed the Donau Cycle Path.*

This year I thought time to make some of these thoughts a reality with a Frankensteined adventure. Fly to Dublin, head back using train and ferries, but cycling every day, visit friends and family along the way.

There are 2 parts:

• Part 1: (28.08-01.09) Dublin to Amsterdam.
• Part 2: (04.09-11.09) Amsterdam to Vienna.

And obviously the nerd in me couldn't resist to set up a website to track my journey and give me a bit of a motivation to actually keep to all the goals and plans.

* Couple of years back I set of from Upper Austria without much prep and ended up smashing my ball bearings on my pedals somewhere around Wallsee.
